The IDS door access software is fast to setup and easy to use menu driven application. All functionality is controlled from this main menu. 

Options 1, 4, 7 and 8 are required for initial system setup and on going maintenance.

Options 2, 5 and 9 are use to start, stop and monitor the badge reader and relay control processes

Options 3, 6, and 8 are data screen reports and printed report option.

Main Menu Option 4. Provides setup maintenance on   <>1 –32 doors and their controlling standard open time parameters for Weekday, Saturday and Sunday /Holiday time periods.

The system allows one time period during the day where door control is turned off and badges are not required for door access. If 100 % control is desired, delete open/close settings.

Entering door number will setup and maintain time parameters. On existing door records entering the door number will provide method to Add or Delete Weekday, Saturday and Holiday/Sunday events

Main Menu Option 1 is used to add / maintain valid badges and to assign door access control parameters for that badge number to a particular door.

On the initial setup any alphanumeric digits can be assigned to the ID (1) field Enter data <cr>. The system prompts for name assignment (2). Enter data <cr>. System prompts for door number  (3) that has been setup in menu option 4. Enter door number <cr> Initial record is established with a door status of always meaning that when the system recognizes this badge, access will be permitted 24 hours during the day for that door. Option A dd will prompt for open start time in military HHMM format and for open end time in HHMM format  The C hange option to change time parameter and  D elete option to remove access control for that badge to that door.  After initial setup, entering badge number will display full record.


Main menu option 7. Enter date in MM/DD/YY <cr> format  By entering a new date, the system will prompt for description data. By entering existing date, system prompts to delete record. This information is used to manage those dates and treat them as if they where a Sunday to control open door period.

For reporting purpose badge numbers starting with a 9 can be used to separate office from shop employees.  Existing badges and their associate barcode pattern or magnetic strip can be used.  However software modifications might be required to accommodate any prefix and/or suffix data that might be in the pattern. Contact distributor. Note: While  individual doors can have unique lock/open periods, badges can be tailor to permit access for a particular door for a particular time period specific to that badge.




Option 2  Main Menu  Starts Polling Process

20<>The IDS door access programs and associated programs are set to autostart the the computer is restarted.  This option is used to manually restart doors. All door must be stopped Option 5 prior to taking option 2.
Option 3 & 8 main menu provides selection of selecting, sorting and displaying door access information.
Enter report start date in  MM/DD/YY <cr> format. Enter report Finish date in MM/DD/YY <cr> format. Enter specific badge number or <cr> Enter specific door or <cr>. Select sort sequence or <cr> . Select Terminal or <cr>. The Printer option will cause the output to the default assigned printer.  Option 8 provide a printed report on yesterday's activity.



Option 9 main menu. Displays current door polling status. Press  <cr>  to return to the main menu.
